"Waiting On" Wednesday (3)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is hosted weekly by Jill @ Breaking the Spine. Waiting On is where bloggers can share with others what book they are currently waiting to read.

This week's "Waiting On" is:

Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay

The Synopsis:
"These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which as they kiss consume."
—Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

The most tragic love story in history . . .

Juliet Capulet didn't take her own life. She was murdered by the person she trusted most, her new husband, Romeo Montague, a sacrifice made to ensure his own immortality. But what Romeo didn't anticipate was that Juliet would be granted eternity, as well, and would become an agent for the Ambassadors of Light. For 700 years, she's fought Romeo for the souls of true lovers, struggling to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. Until the day she meets someone she's forbidden to love, and Romeo, oh Romeo, will do everything in his power to destroy that love.

My Thoughts:
Look at that cover and tell me it does not make you want to pick up this book and start reading it right away. Plus that sentence on the cover telling us that the story of Romeo and Juliet is a lie. What? What? Oh, now I must read it to find out why. Also, that synopsis just clarifies why this is my kind of book: suspense, romance, forbidden love, and paranormal (in a way).

So tell me what your thoughts are for Juliet Immortal and mark your calendar for the release date for this book is September 13, 2011. Can't come soon enough huh?

Wow! I had never seen this one before. You're right -- that cover is amazing and the synopsis sounds terrific. Ambassadors of Light... Are they like angels? Nice choice :).

Also, I really like the layout of your blog! (I'm new here).

I'm not 100% sold on the book plot, but this cover is to die for! Thanks for posting it!
